1.                  Avoid problems in Church

a.       Be a happy pastor – People have enough problems; they don’t need to know yours. 

b.      Cultivate a sense of humor – Learn to laugh.

c.       Be pastor of the whole congregation – Treat all the people alike.

d.      Fall in love with the people – Show that you love them and enjoy being their pastor.

e.       Believe in the people – Let the people know they are matter and speak well of them.

f.        Expect much from the people – Allow the people do their ministry.

g.       Pray for them – Rely on God and ask God to take care the people.

h.       Live in hope – Knowing that God can chage problems to opportunities.

i.         Use all your brain – Seek all resources to solve each problem.

j.        Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ – Learn to go to Christ with all problems.

 

2.                  The Secret of Pastoral Leadership

a.       The need of faith – Be on the Word & Sacrament - rely on Christ for leadership and guidance.

b.      The call for strategy – Have plans for the ministry to move forward.

c.       The use of tactics – Must have skills to shift and change according to needs, methods and conditions change.

d.      The love of people – As long as the pastor lives, he will love people.

e.       The love of Christ – Let Christ’s love controls all things in work or people.
