your culture motivates? HOW TO MOTIVATE POPLE TO BE ACTIVE IN GODS 1. What is God’s mission? a. It starts in the heart of God. He desires to save all people from their
sin, from the power of the devil and from eternal death. This
is God’s core value. (MT 18:14; Lk
9:10) b. How did
God achieves His core value? He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice
to substitute for all people. (John
3:16) c. How does
God saves you and me? By His grace through faith in Christ wrought
by the
Gospel in the working of the Holy Spirit.
(Eph. 2:8-9) d. How does God wants us to share His value with others? He called us to be His ambassadors,
witnesses, light and salt to the world so that all people can be saved. God also gives us different gifts
to serve Him in fulfilling His mission.

mission as Christian? a. The Christians’ mission is to use God’s
gifts to strengthen the Christians and to bring the non-Christians to faith
in Christ so that they can be saved from their sin, from the
power of the devil and from eternal death.
(1 Cor. 12; MT 28) b. As baptized children of God, God’s core value is the Christians’ core value. God’s
mission is the Christians’ mission!

be used for His mission. (Eph.
2:11-22) 4. Do you have God’s
value in you? a. Do you want to use your gifts to do

motivated people in your congregation: a. The answers from #4 will help you to
determine who in your congregation are motivated
to do God’s mission and who are not. b. Only those who have God’s core value
are motivated to do God’s mission and are active in
Church. Those who do not have God’s
core value are not active in Church. c. Remember
motivation is a desire to achieve or attain a certain core value. As motivator,
your task is to help your members to achieve their core values. 6. How to help the members who are motivated
to achieve their core values? to
have God’s core value and yet is not willing to get involve or to use their
gifts may not be telling the truth. b.
Come up with plans and trainings to
help the members to achieve their core values. This is key! c.
Do not involve the unmotivated people
in the ministry. They will only frustrate
the other team members. 7. How to motivate the unmotivated
people? b. Provide good Bible studies for these
people so that God can instill His core value in them. c. Afterward, involve these people with
training and get them ready to use their God given gifts and to achieve their God given core value. d.
Some one has said, “If a Christian who does not wish other to
be saved, he
himself
has not yet been save.” |
