A Cup of Water In My Name!
The scriptures tell us to "make the most of every
opportunity".(Colossians 4:5) For the Hmong Mission, that
includes meeting the needs of thirsty gardeners! Again this
summer as he did in past years, Deacon Neal and Swan will be
taking bottles of water, along with Hmong Mission information
and a friendly conversation, to the many Hmong people who will
be in their gardens this summer. Pray that God opens doors to
conversations that lead to the sharing of the Good news of
Jesus and that building relationships provide opportunities for
witnessing and faith-building in the lives of these people.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School for the Hmong community children was
planned at St. Matthew for the third year on August 1-4. Pat
Lane ordered materials and worked with us again. As in the
past, the music, lessons and devotions was both in the English
and Hmong languages. This was a great opportunity to reach out
to new families. In the past years the Gospel has been shared
with children who have never heard about Jesus before! Each
year we have had more children and more opportunities to offer
the good news of Jesus with them.
